Seaside Rec
The only green space in Devonshire ward ... 2.19 Hectares in size.
Comprising of recreational space of a 5 a side football pitch, childrens play equipment, picnic tables, all weather path, easy access gates and benches to sit and rest.
A 10 minute walk to the sea and a 15 minute walk to the town centre, makes it the ideal spot to stop and play with the children or sit and watch the world go by...
_____
The Friends of Seaside Rec.was formed in April 2014 by local residents with the sole intention of improving and developing the only "Green Space" in the Devonshire Ward. The rec was awarded the Queens Covernant in commemoration of the Diamond Jubilee ensuring this only green space is never built on.
As a group we have raised funds by holding annual fun days. The money raised has been used to assist the council to construct an all weather path for disabled access to the park, major improvements to the playground equipment and planting of saplings. There are exciting plans for the future. The rec is well used by the local residents and dog walking community.
We need your help so we can continue to improve and develop these facilities
Thank you for your support and good luck!
Yours sincerely
Mrs Carol Bowman
